Let’s face it, if you’re dying of boredom every single day in the job you’re in at the minute, then you really do need a job to come along and tickle your fancy. Because there’s no hiding the fact that most of you reading this have got a hell of a long time left in the working world, and we just know that you’re not going to want to spend that in a career where you literally feel like you should be clawing your eyes out whilst you’re there. But fear not, the end of the road is not here for you. The road that your career is taking you down is long and twisty, and you control where it leads you. It’s all well and good saying that you can’t go into a career, and we know that you will make a million and one excuses as to why you can’t. But the main word used there is excuses, and you’re the only one who can make them up for yourself. So, instead of making up excuses, think about some of these career ideas and see if they tickle your fancy. If they do, and you know you need to put in a little bit of work to get into it, don’t give up trying until you can! All of these are definitely ones you won’t think about every day…

Swimming Instructor

Being a swimming instructor is a good career for so many different reasons. You can teach a range of different ages, all with different abilities and needs. You could go into leisure swimming, and perhaps think about doing baby classes. Or, you could go for the more serious side of things, and actually try and get yourself into competitive swimming. Being a swim teacher is generally well paid, and you could easily get yourself a job in your local area. You could even think about branching out and going self employed if you wanted to make a little bit of extra money. But you will have to get yourself a qualification to begin with, so it might be worth checking out how to go down that route now if this is what interests you!

Life Coach

Being a life coach is perhaps the most rewarding job we’re going to talk about today. It gives you the chance to change peoples lives for the better, and to play a role in it that others simply can’t. To be a life coach, you have to be open minded, understanding, and learn how to adapt yourself to people’s situations. There are online courses that you can take to get yourself qualified in this area, you just have to take the time to look into it.

Food Taster

We thought we’d end on a high note, because who wouldn’t want to have a career in something like food tasting. And yes, careers in this line of work do exist, although we must say they are rare. You will usually have to have some form of foody qualification, and you can’t just like food, you have to have a passion for the flavours and how they work together. But if you can do all of that, then this role is definitely for you!
