Trying to keep up with all the holidays throughout the year and your marketing initiatives is a colossal task that often gets overlooked. Reading this article can help. I typically miss a few holidays each year and along with it the opportunity to reach out to my customers and boost my business. That’s unfortunate for a couple of reasons. so, here is my advice:

First, when it comes to your business marketing, timing is everything. Holidays are the perfect opportunity to connect with your customers and prospects. Between the major shopping holidays and the casual fun holidays, there is a lot to keep track of and plan for when it comes to your marketing plan.
Planning is essential
Secondly, a marketing calendar can help take the stress away from remembering when holidays occur. Use it as a roadmap to check in on regularly. Once you have your plan set, it helps take away the confusion for you and your team, to ensure the year goes as smoothly as possible.
While not every holiday will make sense for your business, choose the ones that are a good fit with your services or offerings. But, don’t be afraid to have some fun with it. Whether it’s offering a discount, promotion, or special event – there are many opportunities to promote and advertise to your customers. Your planning will depend on which holiday you are scheduling. Big shopping holidays like Black Friday or Christmas take planning months in advance, while National Taco Day (my favorite or National Dress Up Your Pet Day may only require a few weeks of planning.
